For a couple of years I’ve been recording the time I spend working on screenplays. It is a way of keeping me aware of how much (or little) I’ve been working, and on what projects.<\/p>\n
An email I received from The Writer’s Store<\/a><\/em> had a nifty tip, along a similar line. It is an idea inspired by Jerry Seinfeld. He has a calendar that he prints out and sticks at his desk, and on that calendar he marks down every day he writes new material.<\/p>\n He marks off the days where he writes new material, and the idea is to keep stringing work days together. It is a visual reminder and incentive not to ‘break the chain’ of days you’ve worked on scripts.<\/p>\n I love the idea!<\/p>\n And The Writer’s Store<\/em> has been kind enough to put a link to a PDF<\/a> of a calendar you, too, can print and put up near your desk as inspiration to write and write.<\/p>\n
